A Journey of Connection, Commitment, and Gratitude
I am deeply humbled and honored to share that Experience Momentum has been named Lynnwood’s Outstanding Business of the Year. As I sit with this recognition, it feels almost surreal to reflect on the 17 years that have passed since we first opened our doors. Time has flown by, but what remains clear is the impact we’ve been able to create together—through the dedication of our team, the trust of our clients, and the partnerships we’ve built within this community.
The Heart of Experience Momentum: Our Team
This award is not just a plaque or a title; it’s the culmination of the efforts of the incredible individuals who make up Experience Momentum today and those who have been part of our journey over the years. We have an amazing team—85 strong right now, and more than 200 who have walked alongside us at various stages. Each of them has poured their heart and soul into our mission, showing up every day not just to work, but to make a difference in the lives of our clients.
At the core of our work is a commitment to connection—taking the time to understand each client’s unique journey, goals, and challenges. Our mission is brought to life through team members like Emily, our Registered Dietitian, who helps clients redefine their relationship with food, and Barb, our Personal Trainer and former EM Massage Therapist, who supports women in rebuilding their strength and confidence. Every single staff member contributes to our success, and I am endlessly grateful to work alongside such a talented and committed group of individuals.
The Award Ceremony: The Power of Partnership and Community
One of the most touching moments of the evening was hearing Robert Cannon, keynote speaker from the Alderwood Boys and Girls Club, share his powerful story. Robert’s journey—from growing up in the club to becoming their Director of Club Resources and Development—is a true testament to resilience, strength, and the transformative power of community and connection. The Boys and Girls Club is changing young lives every single day, and Experience Momentum has been a long-time supporter of their incredible work. Personally, I’ve had the privilege of coaching kids' basketball teams through their programs and have experienced firsthand the joy of working with their amazing youth and staff. These connections lie at the heart of community work, and together, we are stronger. It was a true honor to be part of a night that celebrated the club's impact on our community’s children. I feel deeply privileged to contribute to this collective effort, where the true power of community shines through.
Beyond our support of the Boys and Girls Club, we’ve also built many other meaningful partnerships throughout the Lynnwood community. From organizations like The Foundation and the Alderwood Terrace Rotary Club to Project Girl and the City of Lynnwood, we are fortunate to collaborate with those who share our passion for making Lynnwood a vibrant, thriving community. Our partnerships with local organizations like Support 7, Provail, and the Lynnwood Police Department have allowed us to create lasting change. I am endlessly grateful for the opportunity to grow and serve alongside such dedicated and inspiring partners. Together, we are making a difference.

Honoring Friends and Neighbors: A Moment of Pride
Another highlight of the evening was celebrating alongside two remarkable individuals: Wally and Phong.
Wally, a dear friend and mentor, was honored with the Philanthropy Award. His work with The Access Project, a nonprofit organization serving underserved youth in the BIPOC community, has made a lasting impact. His commitment to addressing mental health in local schools is inspiring, and his influence on our community is profound.
It was also an honor to see Phong Nguyen, of Anna’s Home Furnishing, recognized as Lynnwood’s Outstanding Businessman of the Year. Phong’s community spirit is evident in his work with the Lynnwood Police Citizen’s Patrol, the Lynnwood Food Bank, and many other initiatives. His dedication to balancing family, business, and service is truly admirable, and I am so grateful to share this recognition with him.
A Heartfelt Thank You to the Lynnwood Chamber of Commerce
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the Lynnwood Chamber of Commerce for this thoughtful recognition and for all they do to support local businesses. Under the leadership of Frank Percival, following Linda Jones’ tenure, the Chamber continues to uplift our business community, foster connections, and promote growth. Their mission to build a vibrant and thriving Lynnwood is evident in everything they do, and I am so grateful for their efforts.
Looking Ahead with Gratitude and Excitement
As we reflect on this recognition, our hearts are full of gratitude. We are thankful for the trust of our clients, the dedication of our team, and the support of our community partners. To be recognized among such talented companies is a true honor, but this award isn’t just a reflection of what we’ve achieved—it’s motivation to continue growing, evolving, and striving to make an even greater impact. Every day, we work to create a space where people can redefine what’s possible for themselves—whether that’s healing from an injury, reaching new fitness milestones, or building healthier habits.
While this award confirms that we’re on the right path, it also reminds us there is always more to be done. Together, we will continue pushing boundaries, building connections, and making a lasting difference. More people to uplift, more relationships to build, and more ways to make a difference. We are energized by this recognition and excited about the future. Thank you, Lynnwood, for allowing us to be part of this wonderful community. Reflecting on our 17-year journey, we are proud of how far we’ve come, but we’re even more excited about the possibilities ahead. Here’s to many more years of partnership, growth, and transformation!
