A Memorable Summer and a Wake-Up Call
Our family has been having an amazing summer, our kids finished school on June 26th and we set off on an epic road trip. We spent our time mountain biking in Park City, hiking at Arches National Park, meeting our new niece in Albuquerque, and boogie boarding in Southern California.
We enjoyed our quality time together outside but encountered some extreme weather that was alarming to me —100 degrees at 6 am in Arizona and 115 degrees in Northern California. These moments were a stark reminder of the reality of climate change and a push for me to take further action for our planet.
Joining Premiums for the Planet
I'm thrilled to share some exciting news: Experience Momentum is now a proud member of Premiums for the Planet, a groundbreaking program that empowers companies to use their insurance spend to promote social and environmental responsibility. The Power of Insurance Investments
Three months ago, I met Nick Gardner, Head of Partnerships at Premiums for the Planet, at a B-Corp convention in Vancouver, BC. Nick asked if I knew where our insurance company invested our premium payments. I hadn’t considered it before. Nick explained that insurance companies manage trillions of dollars and have significant regulatory influence. Unfortunately, many insurers still invest heavily in fossil fuel projects, posing a serious threat to our planet's future.
